白洁奖学金

The 白洁奖学金 provides funding for highly motivated students to pursue research-focused graduate studies in the arts, 人文学科, 以及社会科学. Beinecke Scholars receive a total of $34,000 to support their graduate education.

To be eligible for a 白洁奖学金, a student must:

• Have demonstrated superior standards of intellectual ability, scholastic achievement and personal promise during his or her undergraduate career.
• Be a college junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
• 计划进入 research-focused master’s or doctoral program in the arts, 人文学科 or social sciences. 学生 in the social sciences who plan to pursue graduate study in neuroscience should not apply for a 白洁奖学金; nor should students applying for professional degrees that emphasize skills and practical analysis such as business, 法律, 公共卫生, 公共政策, 还有社会工作.
• Be a 美国 citizen or a 美国 national from American Samoa or the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
• Have a documented history of receiving need-based financial aid during his or her undergraduate years.

Please note that Barnard can only nominate one candidate for this award. As part of the nomination process, this program requires institutional endorsement and a campus process with deadlines prior to the national deadline. Campus deadlines to submit a completed application are typically 1-2 months ahead of national deadlines.
